Orthopaedic physiotherapy involves the assessment and treatment of a dysfunction in your musculoskeletal system. The musculoskeletal system includes your bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and connective tissue. In most cases, a dysfunction often involves multiple areas or a combination of the musculoskeletal and neurological system. Your neurological system includes your brain, spinal cord and nerves. These nerves supply the whole musculoskeletal system. This is why the systems are so integrated!
Pelvic Health physiotherapy includes assessment and treatment of pelvic health conditions. An assessment includes a detailed history about your pelvic symptoms, medical history, emotional well being, social support, and more! It also includes an external assessment of pelvis, low back, core muscles, and movement patterns. It may also include an internal assessment vaginally or rectally.
Our physiotherapists diagnose dysfunctions, treat them and provide ongoing preventative care. This care helps you to decrease pain, increase strength, improve range of motion and function.
